ABOUT US
At Union AG, we don't want you to only find what you need; we want to exceed your expectation! With over 260 years of experience, we are giving our best each day to be a step ahead of the needs and desires of the fashion industry.
Founded in 1759, Union is the oldest embroidery company in the world. We are located in St.Gallen, Switzerland, the birthplace of the embroidery. Our first embroideries were used for outerwear and shirting. In 1950s, Haute Couture discovered the beauty of our embroidery work. The arrival of a new generation of machines, allowed us to embroider on delicate grounds and so we turned our attention to lingerie and corsetry.
As first European embroiderer, we built our fully owned production site in Qingdao, China back in 1992. Soon after, we established our own dye house right next to our production. Our Chinese staff is regularly trained by our experienced colleagues from our Swiss headquarter.
Our own production facilities enable us to react flexible and very fast on changing market demands and needs.
Take a look at our chronicle issued for our 250th anniversary in 2009 to discover our most exciting milestones. The last decade was marked by several innovations which we proudly present as "Interfilière Designer of the Year 2020" to our valued customers from all over the world. In 2021 we still carry our values into the vibrant future.

ACQUISITION OF ISIDOR SCHEFFKNECHT
May, 2024
We are pleased to inform you that UNION AG has taken over the embroiderer, Isidor Scheffknecht Company (ISCO), from Lustenau, Austria.
The acquisition of ISCO is in line with our long-term vision of growth and sustainability. The production in Vorarlberg, Austria, ideally complements our own production facility, including finishing operations in Asia, to optimally serve our international customers from Europe and offer more security in the supply chain.
UNION AG continues to focus on the development of modern, contemporary as well as durable and innovative designs, with proximity to our customers playing an important role in addition to quality.
